Visit to the Philippines

The Association attended the celebration of the 53rd Council of the Wu Gong Su Association of the Philippines.

From 20 to 24 June 2025, a delegation of 15 persons led by President Zhang Jiang PBM and secretary John went to Manila, Philippines, to attend the ‘53rd Council of the Wu Gong Su Association of the Philippines cum Inauguration Ceremony for the 31st Chinese Teachers’ Fellowship cum the 15th Youth Group Staff’.

The Inauguration Ceremony was held on 22 June (Sunday) at the East Ocean Palace with solemn procedures. The ceremony included swearing-in, handing over of the seal, presentation of the Shield of Appreciation, speeches by the guests of honour and a vote of thanks, which fully demonstrated the cohesion and vitality of the Philippines Su Clan.

PBM Su Zhang Jiang, President of the Association, was invited to deliver a speech at the ceremony. In addition to congratulating the new staff on their successful inauguration, he also acknowledged the long-standing contributions of the Wu Gong Su Clan Association in the Philippines in uniting the clansmen, promoting ancestral virtues, promoting Chinese education and youth affairs, and expressed his willingness to continue to strengthen the exchanges and co-operation between the clansmen of the two places.

In his closing speech, President Su Shibin, Chairman of the Wu Gong Su Clan Association of the Philippines, thanked the clansmen from all over the world for travelling all the way to the event, pointing out that the three-night, four-day trip had been short but fulfilling, and that the interaction between each other had deepened the clan’s love and friendship, and that it was hoped that we would continue to keep in touch and that the clan’s friendship would last for many generations to come.

During the event, the delegation also exchanged views with representatives of the Su Clan from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Xiamen, Quanzhou and other places in China to enhance mutual friendship. The whole ceremony was a great success.
